King County will offer a free workshop Nov. 5 in North Bend to give rural residents the information they need to help keep their homes and property safe from wildfire.
The Firewise workshop will teach fire-safe landscaping techniques and show homeowners how to plan a safe response if wildfire threatens.
The workshop runs from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Cedar River Watershed Education Center, 19901 Cedar Falls Rd. SE, North Bend. Pre-registration is required.
