The city of Issaquah is offering an information kit for citizens who wish to reduce their food waste.
“Food: Too Good to Waste” is a program launched by King County in fall 2013. The federal Environmental Protection Agency estimates Americans waste 25 percent of all food purchases, adding up to an average of $1,600 thrown out per year.
The toolkit is available online via the city of Issaquah’s document center under the “Sustainability” folder.
