Four Boy Scouts from Issaquah Troop 609, Eric Hall, Zach Hall, Ben Fairhart and Jacob Tierney, have earned their Eagle Scouts.
Eric Hall has been in scouting for 10 years. For his Eagle Scout Project, he led a volunteer effort to build the initial 150 feet of new trail in Squak Valley Park. An Issaquah High School Student, he played for several bands and orchestras, plays on the varsity football team and is a member of the National Honor Society.
Zach Hall has also been in scouting for 10 years. For his Eagle Scout project or coordinated neighborhood volunteers to replace 30 yards of sand at South Cove Beach, repair signage and clean up landscaping. Also a musician at IHS, he’s played in several bands and orchestras, participated in ASB and is a member of the National Honor Society.
Ben Fairhart began his Scouting adventures in kindergarten as a Tiger CubFor his Eagle Scout project he lead the restoration of a 150 feet of trail in Squak Valley Park. He’s also a musician, performing throughout the area in his band, Greasy Spoon.
Jake Tierney has been a boy scout since 2003. For his project, he organized the construction of five wood duck nesting boxes along the shores of Lake Tradition. He also relocated several wood benches around the lake. He’s a recipient of a U.S. Air Force ROTC scholarship.
