Rowley Properties will be supporting the arts by sponsoring POPs! Goes Issaquah. POPs! is a free concert on Friday, August 22 at 7:30 p.m. at Village Theatre, 303 Front Street North, featuring the Sammamish Symphony and conductor R. Joseph Scott.
This year’s special performer is Quinn Price of Ellensburg. Price has been playing the violin since he was eight-years-old. In Ellensburg, he is a high school senior and a participant in the Running Start program at Central Washington University.
Every Saturday Price travels to Seattle where he studies with University of Washington Professor of violin, Ron Patterson, and piano collaborator Irina Akhrin. He is a member of the Seattle Youth Symphony and has performed as Concertmaster and Associate Concertmaster. Price won first place at the 2013 State Solo and Ensemble Competition, and was a winner of the Seattle Youth Symphony Concerto Competition and performed as a soloist with the Seattle Youth Symphony Junior Orchestra.
This year he received an honorable mention at the Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra Young Artist Competition and has been selected to perform with the Seattle Symphony as a Seattle Symphony young artist.
Price placed second in the Sammamish Symphony Orchestra’s 2014 Youth Concerto Competition and will perform with the Sammamish Symphony Orchestra this August.
