Applications are now being accepted for 2014 King Conservation District Landowner Incentive Program funding. The program promotes stewardship of natural resources by providing cost-share assistance to support implementation of conservation practices on private property.

Landowner expenses associated with pre-approved conservation practices are reimbursed with cost-share funding at a ratio of 50 percent to 90 percent of the total cost of projects. Cost-share ratios vary by conservation practice.

A total of 14 conservation practices are currently eligible. Applications for 2014 will be accepted on a monthly basis through November. To receive funding, the practices must be included in a district prepared farm management or other technical assistance plan.
