Get your hands dirty with the Issaquah Environmental Council this summer

Getting involved with these volunteer programs is a great way to stay fit, get some fresh air in the great outdoors, meet new people, as well as doing a good thing for the city, its residents, and the greater environment.

As part of its mission to protect and enhance the natural resources of Issaquah and its surrounds, the Issaquah Environmental Council (IEC) will be hosting a number of restoration events this summer.

Getting involved with these volunteer programs is a great way to stay fit, get some fresh air in the great outdoors, meet new people, as well as doing a good thing for the city, its residents, and the greater environment.

On June 27, — IEC will hold a work party at Cybil-Madeleine Park, at the corner of NW Holly Street and Rainier Blvd. N.

In July and August the IEC will continue its program with events at Ingi Johnson Park, and the forested area between the Issaquah Skate Park and Issaquah Schools Bus Barn on 2nd Avenue.

In September and October, work parties will make improvements to Tibbetts Valley Park, and Rainier Trail.

All events will take place from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
