Visitors to state parks will get in free on Saturday, Sept. 28 in recognition of National Public Lands Day. The Discover Pass is not required of visitors exploring their state parks on “free days.”
To help celebrate the day, the state parks department has partnered with Subway restaurants to launch No Family Left Inside. On Saturday, $5,000 in Subway gift cards will be given away to the first 100 people who visit select state parks. At Lake Sammamish State Park, the gift card giveaway will begin at 7 a.m. at the main park entrance.
