Heavy rain expected to dampen Halloween and Monday

A winter storm is headed for Western Washington this Weekend with the brunt of the rain landing on Halloween Sunday night.

One to two inches of rain are expected to fall on King County Saturday to Monday, said Dennis D’Amiko, a National Weather Service meteorologist.

There are flood warnings in the Olympic Peninsula and the North Cascades, although nothing in King County so far.

“It will be a little breezy, but nothing extraordinary,” he said.

The temperature will also be mild with lows of 51 all weekend and a high of 60 on Monday.

Just expect things to be pretty wet.

Although the forecast is fairly pessimistic now, it looks like some nice weather might be on its way at the end of next week, he said.
