Sammamish is currently hosting an online naming contest for the 16-acre park, which has temporarily carried the name Southeast Eighth Street Park since it opened last October.

The new site, donated by resident Mary Piggot, will eventually total 51 acres of park land.

Residents are encouraged to submit ideas by the July 31 deadline by filling out an on-line form.
