On Saturday, July 4, the Issaquah History Museums will hold the eighth annual Heritage Day event in conjunction with the community’s Down Home Fourth of July Celebration.
Activities will take place in and around the Issaquah Depot, at 50 Rainier Boulevard N, convenient to the Field of Fun. The event will last from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., and is free to the public.
The aim of Heritage Day is to let people – children especially — get their hands on history.
This year a new activity station features a full-scale replica mine car, the kind used to transport Issaquah’s miners and their tools into the mine, and coal back out again.
