IHS chess team places fourth at state

The Issaquah High School chess team placed fourth at the Washington State High School Chess Championships.

The Issaquah High School chess team placed fourth at the Washington State High School Chess Championships, which took place at Issaquah High School Feb. 28 and March 1.

It was the highest state finish in the school’s history. The team consisted of Wesley Esko, Nathan Lee, Romil Sirohi, Rajat Lahiri, and Anurag Mantrala, and was coached by David Wood, asocial sciences teacher at IHS.
