Increased DUI patrols to begin on Thanksgiving

Law enforcement officers from Bellevue and Sammamish will conduct extra DUI patrols from Nov. 24 through Jan. 2, 2012 to try and reduce DUI crashes and fatalities.

Law enforcement officers from Bellevue, Issaquah and Sammamish will conduct extra DUI patrols from Nov. 24 through Jan. 2, 2012 to try and reduce DUI crashes and fatalities.

The three departments join numerous others in King County as part of the increased emphasis patrol.

Officials say public education combined with strict enforcement is a proven method for reducing DUI crashes and fatalities.
