Schools in the Issaquah and Lake Washington School Districts closed Tuesday due to inclement weather and hazardous driving conditions.

All before- and after-school activities and sports have been canceled in the Issaquah School District. Lake Washington schools canceled all programs, activities and building use.

Eastside Catholic, which also closed Tuesday, will determine the status of its evening activities by noon today.

The Puget Sound Energy outage map shows about 500 customers without power in Issaquah as of Tuesday morning. Over 500 power outages have been reported in Sammamish.

All Issaquah parks and rec programs are canceled. The Issaquah Community Center and pool are open for drop-in use. Garbage and recycling collection in Issaquah has been canceled due to inclement weather.

Sammamish City Hall is open and is welcoming residents to visit to charge their phones if necessary.

The Sammamish Community YMCA will delay its opening to 10 a.m. today. The city reports that Republic Services is evaluating its garbage and recycling collection schedule for today.

Sammamish residents who need to report a problem should call 425-295-0500 during business hours or 425-295-0700 during non-business hours.

Drivers are urged to drive with caution due to icy road conditions and to avoid travel when possible.
