The Issaquah City Council elected Stacy Goodman as council president and Mary Lou Pauly as deputy council president by a unanimous show of hands Monday.

Both were elected to the City Council in 2013 and their terms expire at the end of 2017.

The city runs on a mayor-council form of government, meaning the elected mayor serves as the city’s chief administrator and the seven-member council serves as the city’s legislative body.

The three councilors elected in November 2015 — Paul Winterstein, Bill Ramos and Jennifer Sutton — were sworn in at the Monday meeting, as well.
