Issaquah first Friday Wine Walk is April 5

Wineries will feature Nardone Wine from Montalcino in Tuscany (the Nardone family owns Montalcino restaurant in Issaquah); Elsom Cellars of Woodinville; William Church Winery, a family-owned boutique winery in Woodinville; Smasne Cellars; Animale; Northwest Cellars; Queen Anne Winery; and Waving Tree Vineyards.

Issaquah’s First Friday Wine Walk on April 5 will bring wine, music and art to the downtown.

Wineries will feature Nardone Wine from Montalcino in Tuscany (the Nardone family owns Montalcino restaurant in Issaquah); Elsom Cellars of Woodinville; William Church Winery, a family-owned boutique winery in Woodinville; Smasne Cellars; Animale; Northwest Cellars; Queen Anne Winery; and Waving Tree Vineyards.

Music will be provided by Violet Oroboros, an acoustic duo performing an eclectic blend of folk, pop, jazz and rock; Renz, a singer/songwriter who uses the piano or guitar to accompany his voice; the Greg Glassman Trio; local singer Ali Marcus; and Bodacious Ladyhood, a trio back for an encore performance.

ArtByFire will showcase goblet making and artEAST will feature an Art in the Garden event, with more than a dozen artists bringing in new works of art, specially created and specially priced for the event. In addition, Museo Art Academy will give people a chance to create a mini-impressionist reverse painting on acetate.

The Spanish Nest, at 195 Front Street North, will provide drop-in child care from 5-9 p.m. for children 3 to 10-years-old. The cost is $5 per child per hour. Pre-register to ensure a spot at http://www.thespanishnest.com/WINE-WALK-DROP-IN-CARE.html

Wine Walk tickets can be purchased at downtownissaquah.com/wine-walk or at check-in. The cost is $20 in advance and $25 the day of the event, and includes 10 one-ounce drink tokens. Bottles of wine for purchase will be available. Check in starts at 5 p.m. at the historic Shell Station, 232 Front Street.

Wine Walk runs from 6-9 p.m. You must be 21 to purchase wine tasting tokens.
