The Issaquah Food and Clothing bank raised $75,406 in its first ever fundraising breakfast held on Oct. 17. Over 300 people attended.
The event was held at Eastridge Church. The bank serves residents in Issaquah, Sammamish, Renton, Preston, Newcastle and Bellevue.
The clothing bank, one of the few in the region, serves an even larger population.
Funds raised at the “Recipe for Hope” breakfast will support current efforts to provide healthy food options to clients, build services and programs that enrich lives such as the summer lunch program, tools for schools, fruit tree gleaning and financial literacy program, and fund future expansion to better serve the community.
