Hundreds turned out as the new Issaquah Middle School officially opened its doors to the public with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday.
Issaquah School District Superintendent Ron Thiele and School Board member Anne Moore were on hand as Mayor Fred Butler cut the ceremonial ribbon. Both the mayor and Issaquah Middle School Principal Seth Adams addressed the crowd before welcoming in community members to tour the facilities. Members of the Issaquah Middle School PTSA served root beer floats in the school commons.
“I am absolutely honored to say that this building does represent a pillar in our community and something that we can all be proud of,” Adams said.
