Nominations are now being accepted for the 2nd Annual Pinoy Reporter Tagumpay Awards, which will recognize outstanding Filipino Americans who have excelled in their companies, careers or communities.

Winners will be announced at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 20, at the Hilton Seattle Airport Conference Center.

Issaquah resident, Maureen Francisco, will be this year’s co-emcee.

This year, the public will help choose who will be the winner in their respective categories, which includes This year’s categories include:

One of the keynote speakers this year is Dr. Connie Mariano, the first woman to head the White House Medical Unit. Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye is the first Filipino American to be the 28th Chief Justice of the California Supreme Court and will also be featured during the celebration.
