Issaquah School Board named a 2017 School Board of the Year

The Issaquah School District is proud to announce that the Issaquah School Board has been named a 2017 School Board of the Year by the Washington State School Directors Association for its work disaggregating data to identify achievement gaps in order to create a more equitable school system.

The award was announced during the WSSDA annual conference held in Bellevue on Nov. 17.

The board also received this highest honor in 2015 and has been named a Board of Distinction since the awards began in 2010.

I am just thrilled they have received this honor for a second time in the past three years.”

The Issaquah School Board is comprised of Board President and District Director Lisa Callan, Legislative Representative and Director Harlan Gallinger, WSSDA President and Director Marnie Maraldo and former ISD Board Presidents Anne Moore and Suzanne Weaver.
