The seniors at the Issaquah Senior Center rocked and rolled the clock back to the 1950s on Tuesday when Elvis came to entertain them during lunch.
To celebrate her 72nd birthday, Senior Inez Petersen bought lunch for all of the seniors in attendance and invited Elvis Presley tribute artist Jeffrey Elvis to sing and dance for the crowd.
Seniors had a wonderful time singing along to the Elvis hits of their youth, such as “Hound Dog,” “Jailhouse Rock” and “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” Some seniors — clad in their best ’50s fashions of poodle skirts, neck scarves and pedal pushers — even got up and started dancing.
To end the occasion, the King of Rock brought the birthday girl onstage and sang her “Happy Birthday” after wishing her “a very happy 35th.”
