A scene from the Issaquah Turkey Trot Thursday morning.
Hundreds gathered for the Issaquah Turkey Trot to walk and run the morning of Thanksgiving.
First organized by Issaquah resident Heather Matthews and her family in 2010, the Trot has raised thousands of dollars for the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank each year through registration fees. The 5K had raised $115,000 to date prior to this year.
Candidates can begin filing at 8 a.m. Monday (May 5) for more than 3,200 seats on city councils, county commissions, school boards, and special districts.
