It’s official, today’s the hottest day ever

Today will be remembered, if for no other reason than it was hot. Seattle and its surrounding areas in Western Washington broke the temperature record this afternoon, with a registered 102 degrees at Sea-Tac airport, making today the hottest day ever in Western Washington.

The previous record was 100 degrees.

Last night also broke another record, with a night time low of 71 degrees, making it the first time the night temperature did not go below 70 degrees.

The heat is expected to remain in our vicinity through the weekend, when temperatures should to dip to the mid-80s.
