Issaquah’s newest students got a test ride on Issaquah school buses Aug. 8.

The annual program helps students and especially parents, grow more comfortable with the district transportation department.

It’s also a chance to teach the kids safety rules, before the first day of class, said Jo Porter, the transportation director.

As a part of the tour, the couple hundred new students got to ride through the bus wash.
