Do you love planning fun events? Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park need you.

The Community Celebrations Committee is seeking more members to bring new events to the state park. Returning in 2017 will be the committee’s highly successful Parkadilly Kids’ Concert, Fair and Fun in July and Walk ‘n Wag dog walk in March.

The committee hopes to add a third event in summer 2017. Ideas include a movie night in the park, a series of evening mini-concerts, a recycled art project, an outdoor recreation expo or an overnight family camp-out.

The group has many ideas about events that would be fun to have at the park, but volunteers are needed to help bring them to life. Committee meetings are usually twice a month on Tuesday mornings.
