Late in 2013 the Eastside Fire and Rescue board of directors authorized the formation of an Operations Committee composed of both elected and appointed officials.

This committee is a companion to the Finance Committee and the Personnel Committee. However, the potential exists for the Operations Committee to be the lone surviving committee in the future, if the group demonstrates the capacity and ability to do the will of the board.

The new committee met for the first time May 1. Londi Lindell (North Bend Administrator) was selected as chair, with Laura Philpot (Sammamish Assistant City Manager/Public Works Director) as the vice-chair.

The Eastside Fire and Rescue board meets on the fourth Thursday from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at headquarters, 175 Newport Way NW in Issaquah. They are open public meetings.
