The blotter consists of crimes and other incidents in the city of Issaquah. Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
Sept. 30
CANDID CAMERA: A person from a housing complex in the 900 block of NE High St. called police at 3:22 p.m. to report that a resident of the complex was recording children on camera. Police found that the video was of the children engaging in a verbal altercation and exhibiting bad behavior.
Oct. 1
COMMON SENSE: A person in the 100 block of W. Sunset Way reported to police at 5:50 p.m. that she was having problems with another tenant. Police advised her to get a court order. The caller said that she did not want to get a court order. Police advised her to stay away from the problematic tenant.
CELEBRATING SALMON DAYS WITH ALCOHOL: Police received a report at 6:24 p.m. of a highly intoxicated subject in the 100 block of Front St. Police went to the location and contacted the subject. The subject’s daughter arrived soon after and took the intoxicated parent with her.
Oct. 3
TIRED OF THEFTS: Police went to the 1200 block of NW Gilman Blvd. at 5:54 p.m., where a subject was reported to be stealing tires from Firestone Auto Care. The thief turned out to be a former employee of Firestone, and had been taking used tires from a storage area. The subject was trespassed.
Oct. 4
BEST FLY: Employees at the Best Buy in the 6000 block of E. Lake Sammamish Parkway SE gave police a report at 12:58 p.m. of a suspicious subject. The subject had urinated on the side of the building and had afterwards entered the store.
Oct. 5
FANS OF THE 1980S: Suspicious people were reported to be hanging around the intersection of Southeast Black Nugget Road and Highlands Drive Northeast at 6:01 p.m. The people were described as wearing neon clothing. Police were unable to locate the brightly-clad subjects.
BAD DOG: It was reported at 9:39 p.m. by a resident of the 23400 block of SE Black Nugget Rd. that a woman with an aggressive dog walks the dog without a leash through the neighborhood regularly. The dog had been agressive with the complainant’s children and with other residents as well.
Oct. 6
HIDING AMONGST FISH: At 8:07 a.m., a juvenile female was reported to be hiding in a room at the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery. Police located the girl and returned her to her parents.
PILL-POPPING: A subject was reported to have a drug problem at 5:24 p.m. Police arrive on scene in the 300 block of NW Dogwood St., where Eastside Fire and Rescue was already assisting the subject. The man said that he had taken three Adderall pills in order to concentrate on work and was now having hot flashes.
POST-GROCERY-SHOPPING NAP: A subject passed out at 8:07 p.m. on a couch in the Fred Meyer in the 6100 block of E. Lake Sammamish Parkway SE. Police woke him up. The napper said that he was done shopping and was going to go check out.
