The blotter consists of officers’ accounts of crimes and other incidents in the city of Issaquah. Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

TAKE A HIKE: Police received a report at 12:44 p.m. that an older male was hitch-hiking and being aggressive towards passing cars at the intersection of Front Street North and Northeast Gilman Boulevard. Police contacted the subject upon arrival and told him of the complaint. The subject said he would return home on foot.
RETURN OF THE ISSAQUAH PACKAGE THIEF: At 1:11 p.m., a woman had a parcel package delivered to her residence in the 1700 block of 10th Ave. NE, but when she opened the door to take the package, she observed that a young man was standing near her door trying to steal the package. The man ran off towards the stairs. The woman said that she had never seen him before.

YOU’LL SHOOT YOUR EYE OUT: A weapons offense was reported at 7:56 a.m. in the 18900 block of SE 46th Way. A woman claimed that a man had pointed a shotgun at her. When police arrived, they found that the man actually had a BB gun, not a shotgun, and had been pointing it at a woodpecker.
WASTING TIME: A man called police at 1:18 p.m. to complain about a road rage incident at the corner of Northwest Dogwood Street and Newport Way Northwest. The caller said that he had flipped off a driver of a white truck, and that then the truck driver had proceeded to try to run him off the road. The caller did not have any license plate information for the truck. He then went on to complain about the dispatch system for several minutes, until police told him that they had important work to do.
TOO TIPSY FOR TOILETS: Police made contact with a subject in the 100 block of Front St. S. at 6:37 p.m. The subject was stumbling and appeared to be quite intoxicated. Police warned him about urinating in public. The subject said that he was just taking shelter in front of Front Street Market.

ON THE NUMBER ONE WANTED LIST: An employee of a business in the 1400 block of NW Sammamish Road told police at 3:57 p.m. that a male had urinated at the back of the building and left in a car. The employee had written down the license plate of the car that the male had gotten into. The plate turned up in the computer as belonging to a female and was not local. There were no phone numbers attached, and so police could not call the number to trespass the male.
POTTY MOUTHS: Juveniles were reported to be cat-calling and swearing at 4 p.m. in the 1900 block of NE Park Drive near the tennis courts. Police contacted the juveniles, who denied the report. They said that they had just been talking in their car. Police said that this was a park and that they needed to go somewhere else to do that.

JUST A HUNCH: A resident of the 5100 block of Issaquah-Pine Lake Road SE called police to report that he thinks someone opened his car to try to steal from him. There was nothing missing from the vehicle. The vehicle had no damage. The caller did not have any information about possible suspects.
DAY DRINKING: Employees at the Key Bank in the 400 block of NW Gilman Blvd. called police at 12:14 p.m.to report suspicious subjects in a vehicle in the parking lot. They said that one of the subjects was possibly drinking alcohol. Police arrived and observed two subjects in a van. Both subjects denied drinking, and police did not see any alcohol. One of the subjects said that he owned the van and that his battery was dead, but he would work on getting the van moved.
