Issaquah police arrested a massage therapist on Monday for fourth-degree assault, after a customer reported inappropriate touching during a visit to a local spa.
Police arrested the therapist, a 62-year-old man, following a disturbance at Bliss Spa, located at 5712 E. Lake Sammamish Parkway SE, No. 104.
The customer, a 50-year-old woman, told police the massage therapist put his hands underneath her clothes and touched her inappropriately during the massage.
The woman called her husband after leaving the spa. Her husband then went to the spa and employees called police to report a disturbance, while the customer called Issaquah police to report the incident.
Following interviews with the massage therapist and the customer, police made the arrest. A gross misdemeanor charge was filed on Sept. 27 with the Issaquah Municipal Court against the massage therapist.
Sgt. Laura Asbell with the Issaquah Police Department told the Reporter the case is still under investigation.
