Internationally-known author, actor, and inspirational speaker Bob Trask will join forces with Master Chorus Eastside for an evening of chocolate, wine, inspiration and music, at 7 p.m., Saturday April 25, at Blakely Hall in the Issaquah Highlands.

Supporters of the event will enjoy music and song from the chorus, an inspirational talk by Trask, and creamy gourmet chocolates and fine Washington wines, as well as the pleasure of helping to continue the activity of this musical group which is now in it’s 18th season.

All funds raised on the night are tax deductible, and there will be a silent auction and door prizes. To book, or for more information, call 425-392-8446.

The chorus aims to create and present exceptional and innovative music, as well as nurture and develop musical talent as a valuable cultural asset for the benefit of the community.

Their concerts feature informative commentary and historical information presented by artistic director and conductor, Linda Gingrich. Gingrich is a long-time Issaquah resident, and founder of the Master Chorus Eastside.

And they have put together a busy program in the next few months, a highlight of which will no doubt be their innovative presentation of Joseph Haydn’s great oratorio, The Creation.

The Creation, the crowning work of Haydn’s long and productive life, is brimming with his delightfully descriptive music and the majestic poetry of Paradise Lost and the book of Genesis, in an unusual and innovative production.

Master Chorus Eastside will present The Creation at 7.30 p.m., Saturday May 9, at the Eastlake Performing Arts Center at Eastlake High School.
