The Volunteers from Eastside Fire & Rescue Station 79 will again be hosting a Halloween Fire Station 79 Party on Oct. 31, located in the May Valley area a 20505 SE 152nd Street. The public is invited to attend the festivities from 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Volunteers will be offering free blood pressure and blood sugar checks for adults, while kids will receive safety tips in time for Halloween and goodies, such as Halloween bags, badges, stickers and

safety coloring books. A pumpkin carving event, haunted maze and Sparky the Fire Dog will also entertain.

In addition to the festivities, Station 79 is also sponsoring a Halloween Food Drive. A food box will be set up at the fire station and all those attending are requested to bring a food item or two to support local food banks.
