Issaquah Mayor Fred Butler is recovering after a “minor fall” on Wednesday morning, Issaquah City Council President Stacy Goodman reported at Wednesday evening’s council meeting.
Goodman, who led the meeting in Butler’s place, announced at the start of the meeting that the mayor was not able to attend because he was at home recovering after his fall.
“If you’re watching, Fred, we wish you well,” Goodman said.
Butler was scheduled to deliver his State of the City address at the meeting, but Goodman said that this has been postponed to the Feb. 21 council meeting.
The council meeting was originally slated for Monday, but was rescheduled due to Monday’s snowstorm, which closed City Hall for the entirety of the day.
