The blotter consists of Sammamish police officers’ accounts of crimes and other incidents in the city. Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
Sept. 11
CAR PROWLS: Multiple unlocked vehicles were entered along the 4100 and 4200 blocks of E. Lake Sammamish Parkway NE. Items taken included two iTunes gift cards, a Target gift card, a white gold wedding ring, cash and a laptop. The suspect opened an unlocked gate to reach one of the vehicles.
GETTIN’ HIGH: A suspicious couple was reported to buying large amounts of whip cream at QFC and then appearing under the influence from doing ‘whip-its’ out back.
Sept. 12
HIT-AND-RUN: Police were called to investigate a hit-and-run at the 1700 block of 209 Place SE.
SUSPENDED LICENSE: Police stopped a gold SUV with no front license plate driving along SE Duthie Hill Road. The driver was found to be driving with a suspended license and was arrested.
Sept. 13
IDENTITY THEFT: A resident at the 23200 block of NE 21 Place reported an unknown person opened a Capital One account with the victim’s information.
FRAUD: A resident reported their credit card information and phone number had been used for several fraudulent online purchases.
REVOKED LICENSE: A subject was stopped for traffic and cited for driving with a suspended license
Sept. 14
REVOKED LICENSE: A vehicle was stopped at the 4500 block of Klahanie Dr. SE for having no front plate. The driver was found to be driving with a suspended license and was arrested.
THEFT: White and silver Apple Beats headphones were taken out of a green backpack and reported stolen at Skyline High School.
Sept. 15
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: Money was reported stolen from a safe at a commercial business at the 400 block of 228 Ave NE.
CAR PROWL: An unknown suspect took items from an unlocked commercial vehicle at 19700 block of SE 30 St.
AUTO THEFT: A Highland Gardens resident reported his green Honda Accord had been stolen from the parking lot sometime between Sept. 14 and Sept. 15.
Sept. 16
FRAUD: A resident at the 24000 block of SE 47 Place noticed over $3200 of fraudulent charges at the Bellevue locations of Best Buy and the Home Depot. The charges occurred between Aug. 31 and Sept. 8.
CAR PROWL: A wallet with multiple credit cards and cash was taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway at the 3000 block of 230 Place NE.
CRIMINAL WARRANT: A subject was arrested at the 3000 block of 238 Ave. SE on a felony warrant with extra charges of obstruction and resisting and was booked into King County Jail.
Sept. 18
IDENTITY THEFT: A Trossachs resident at the 900 block of 272 Place SE reported her identity had fraudulently been used for two credit card applications.
AUTO THEFT: A resident at the 27500 block of SE 28 Place reported his black 1998 Dodge pickup truck had been stolen from his driveway overnight. The doors were locked and the keys were inside the residence.
BIKE THEFT: A resident at the Barclay Apartments at the 3500 block of 255 Lane SE reported their bike had been taken from an open garage.
