State troopers booked a 47-year-old North Bend man into King County Jail for unlawful display of a firearm after he allegedly brandished a handgun while driving on westbound Interstate 90 near Issaquah.

The incident occurred during an unspecified road rage dispute between the suspect and another motorist. The suspect allegedly showed the other motorist what appeared to be a black revolver.

The incident was reported and Washington State Patrol stopped the suspect’s 1993 Dodge van on I-90 near Bellevue Way.

Investigating troopers discovered the gun was an Airsoft pellet replica of a Smith and Wesson gun. Such guns shoot plastic pellets via compressed air.
