Democrat Mark Mullet has raised over $80,000 in his race for the Fifth District state senate seat, quadrupling that of his opponent Republican Brad Toft.
The Issaquah councilmember touted the figure as a representation of the support he’s garnered. In addition to the money, he’s done a great deal of campaigning and door knocking throughout the district.
Mullet is also benefiting from the advantage of the incumbent, Republican Cheryl Pflug, dropping out of the race after the filing period was over to take a well paid appointment from Gov. Christine Gregoire.
