The blotter consists of officers’ accounts of crimes and incidents in the city of Issaquah. Anyone arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
Sept. 4
BURGLARY: A burglary was reported on the 23400 block of Southeast 52nd Street. Clothing, sporting goods and a pocketbook were reported stolen.
DRUGS: Police responded to suspicious circumstances on the 600 block of Front Street North, resulting in the arrest of a 26-year-old Issaquah man for possession of drug paraphernalia.
CAUGHT: A 35-year-old Sammamish woman was arrested for two counts of theft in the third degree on the 1800 block of 12th Avenue Northwest.
Sept. 5
PROWL: More than $1,100 in items — including a backpack, iPad, a ring, a key and cash — were reported stolen from a black Chrysler 200 on the 900 block of Northeast Ingram Way.
THEFT: Alcohol valued at $200 was reported stolen fromt eh 1500 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard.
RESISTING: A 22-year-old Seattle man was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest on the 100 block of West Sunset Way.
‘NASTY BOY’: An officer met with a woman on the 1500 block of Northeast Jonquil Lane regarding threats to her son. She reported that her neighbor had yelled at her son, asked if he was the “nasty boy who lived next door” and told him he should get a job and pay rent. The officer advised the woman how to obtain a court order.
Sept. 6
ACCIDENT: A vehicle lost traction and drove into a ditch near the intersection of Renton-Issaquah Road Southeast and Northwest Talus Drive. The driver and passenger were able to move it back onto the road without catastrophic damage before an officer responded.
DISPUTE: An officer responded to a dispute between two drivers in the Fred Meyer parking lot on the 6100 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast. The drivers had been arguing over whether one’s car had hit the other. The two resolved the matter as officers arrived.
Sept. 7
ADVERTISING: An officer observed a 22-year-old man displaying a sign on the 700 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard and conducted a warrant check. The state Crime Information Center returned an outstanding drug-related warrant issued by King County and the man was arrested.
LITTLE LARCENS: A complainant at an apartment complex on the 18300 block of Southeast Newport Way reported three girls had driven away with a red Kawasaki Mule used for maintenance. The reporting party believed they were headed from one of the complex buildings to the apartment office.
Sept. 8
BURGLARY: Speakers were reported stolen from the 6400 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast in a burglary that also resulted in damage to a boat cover and fence. The loss was reported at $2,600.
MALICIOUS MISCHIEF: A tire was reported damaged on the 100 block of East Sunset Way at a total loss of $200.
EVEN A LOGGER WOULD BLUSH: An officer trespassed a man from The Rollin’ Log after a bartender reported he had been creating a disturbance by making inappropriate comments to patrons.
IS IT COLD IN HERE?: A business owner on the 100 block of Front Street North reported a clean cut white man estimated to be in his mid-50s had entered her establishment through the back door, naked except for a pair of socks. She reported he walked through the business, leaving through the front door toward the train depot. Officers did not locate the man.
Sept. 9
SMASH: A vehicle prowl was reported on the 27000 block of Southeast 79th Street. A window was damaged and clothing stolen at a total loss of $355.
SWEET JUSTICE: The theft of $60 of chocolate milk was thwarted at a store on the 1400 block of Highlands Drive Northeast.
GAMES: A computer, XBox and remotes valued a $2,200 were reported stolen after a burglary on the 800 block of Mountain Park Boulevard Southwest.
DOMESTIC: A 45-year-old Issaquah man was arrested for malicious mischief related to a domestic violence incident on the 1900 block of Northeast Kenyon Court.
Sept. 10
GTA: A gold 1997 Honda Accord valued at $3,000 was reported stolen from the 800 block of Front Street South.
STREET PREACHER: A man on the corner of Front Street North and Northwest Gilman Boulevard was witnessed using a megaphone to “preach” to passers-by. Police provided him a copy of the city noise ordinance.
DISPUTE: Police intervened on in a dispute on the 300 block of Shangri-La Way Northwest, where neighbors were blaming each other for harassment, drug dealing and suspicious visitors. They agreed to stay away from each other or obtain a court order.
