The Issaquah Police Department is hosting National Night Out at its headquarters in City Hall 5-7 p.m. Tuesday.
National Night Out is a national campaign to connect communities to their police departments in a relaxed social setting, while raising awareness about options for responding to crime.
Issaquah’s Night will include a fastball competition using the department’s speed enforcement trailer, free document shredding and opportunities to enroll in Paws on Patrol (also called Dog Watcher’s Watch in other parts of the U.S.), a crime reporting program for dog walkers. The party will also include free food, giveaways and music.
Issaquah police have solicited neighborhoods to host their own parties with police.
The Issaquah Police Department and City Hall building are located at 130 East Sunset Way.
