Preliminary results for the Nov. 6 general election came in around 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday night.

Marcus Naylor and Joshua Schaer ran against each other in the only contested Northeast Electoral District race, for Judge Position 1.

Naylor was leading, 65.52 percent to 34.48 percent, in initial returns.

The northeast division includes Issaquah, Sammamish, Bellevue, Redmond, Woodinville and parts of unincorporated King County. Retiring judge Janet Garrow currently holds the seat.

Washington votes by mail and ballots can be postmarked as late as Election Day, meaning they could change in the following days. Check back this week for updated results.

Results can also be found at www.kingcounty.gov/elections and and www.sos.wa.gov/elections. The election will be certified on Nov. 27.
