Say no more to muddy potholes at Issaquah’s Central Park.
The city finished its paving project, which used pervious pavement, this summer.
City officials gathered beneath umbrellas for a ribbon cutting Monday morning. The pouring down rain was a perfect demonstration of how the pavement allowed about 90 percent of the water to pass through the ground instead of adding to runoff.
The lot gives access to new turf fields. The whole park was built on fill from the Highlands development.
