Phones still down in local schools

As of Tuesday morning, a number of schools in the Issaquah School District were still without phone service, in or out.

As of Tuesday morning, a number of schools in the Issaquah School District were still without phone service, in or out.

Liberty High School and Briarwood Elementary School in Renton, and Challenger Elementary School in Issaquah first reported a loss of phone service before 9 a.m on Monday morning.

Despite the efforts of the school district and phone service providers, the situation has not been remedied.

Parents can contact the schools via e-mail should they need to.

Parents of students at Challenger – if you need to report an absence for your student, please email Dolores at dalod@issaquah.wednet.edu.

At Liberty – you can email Attendance Secretary Denise Powers at powersd@issaquah.wednet.edu.

At Briarwood – if you are going to e-mail a teacher regarding your child’s absence please CC Briarwood’s attendance

If you need to pick up your child early please send a note to the teacher or e-mail the teacher before school (if possible) and CC donlanp@issaquah.wednet.edu.
