A Pine Lake Middle School sixth grader raised big money for foster care support nonprofit Treehouse this spring.

Searles recently completed his donation campaign, bringing in $7,545 in money and clothes from solicitation outside of stores, online donations and clothing. About $6,000 of his donations were in cash.

“I want to thank everybody, on the Sammamish Plateau, Issaquah, Redmond and Bellevue that supported, and helped me raise $7,545 and approximately $1,500 in clothing donations for Treehouse, an organization that helps foster families,” Searles wrote the Reporter.

Searles collected donations outside of Fred Meyer stores in Issaquah and Redmond, the Nordstrom Rack in Factoria and Safeway on the Sammamish Plateau.
