EFPD is a non-profit organization that was established in February 2009. The band is comprised of members from fire departments across King County.

The mission of the band is to honor fallen brothers and sisters, celebrate ceremonies and graduations, aide fire department related charities in their fundraising efforts and to strengthen bonds and goodwill in the community by performing at various functions.
