A proposed Transfer of Development Rights agreement (TDR) involving the City of Issaquah, Port Blakely Communities, the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and private landowners, has the ability to greatly influence how we live and play in the area over the next decades.
It is a complex equation, with a number of possible scenario, all of which will impact the City of Issaquah and the Issaquah Highlands.
The City of Issaquah has held a number of meetings, all of which are open to public, about the possible TDR, none of which were well-attended by residents.
To try and keep residents in the picture, Port Blakely is hosting an open house about the TDR, featuring maps and representatives from Port Blakely and the City of Issaquah.
The open house will be held this coming Thursday, July 22, at 6:30 p.m. at Blakely Hall, 2550 NE Park Drive, Issaquah.
Residents can drop in to review the maps, ask questions on a one-to-one basis, and give your thoughts on the transaction – either to the people there or by comment cards.
For more information about the transaction visit the City’s website at www.ci.issaquah.wa.us/parkpointe. or contact Chris Hysom at 206-225-2309 or chysom@portblakely.com, or Keith Niven at keithn@ci.issaquah.wa.us.
