UPDATE: Shayne C. Kennedy was arrested by deputies near Fall City this evening after a neighbor phoned in a tip. He was transported to King County Jail for booking.

ORIGINAL STORY: The King County Sheriff’s Office is on the hunt for a suspected car prowler operating in unincorporated Sammamish.

The office seeks the public’s help in locating 41-year-old transient Shayne C. Kennedy. They described him as a white male, 6 feet tall, 190 pounds with long reddish blond hair often pulled back in a ponytail.

A press release from the sheriff’s office did not detail the specific incident he is wanted in connection to, but communicated that he “has committed most of his crimes and other suspected crimes between the hours of 8:30 and 11:30 PM [sic].”

The office is advising residents to lock their homes, garages and outbuildings, as well as keep porch and deck lights on during the hours of darkness.
