Chief Executive Officer of the Seattle area American Red Cross, Sammamish’s own Randy Huston, will be the special guest speaker at the Sammamish Kiwanis Club’s weekly meeting at 7 a.m., Wednesday, May 19, at the Sammamish Hills Lutheran Church.

During his time at the Red Cross, Hutson has led numerous initiatives that have helped make King, Kitsap and North Mason counties safer. Most recently, he led an internal reorganization to assist in preparing individuals and families for disasters. Hutson was also instrumental in the construction of community-based disaster relief supply centers, the development of a nonprofit business continuity program and a free, non-certified First Aid/CPR training.

Previously, he was a senior manager for Microsoft Corporation, director of finance at SpaceLabs Healthcare, Inc. and chief financial officer for Zycad Corporation.

The Sammamish Kiwanis are always eager to welcome visitors to their weekly breakfast meetings, which are free and nondenominational.
