The Reindeer Festival at Cougar Mountain Zoo began Wednesday. It’s schedule to be open through the month.
When: Dec. 1-23, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Dec 26-30, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: 19525 S.E. 54th St., Issaquah
Cost: $11.50 general (13+), $10.50 Senior (62+) and $9.50 Children (2-12)
10 Things to do at Reindeer Festival:
1. Meet Santa Claus in his house – Santa is available from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
2. See Santa’s teindeer team – On your way to Santa’s house and barn, feed his Reindeer and watch them play.
3. Stop by Santa’s Post Office – Write a letter or draw a picture for Santa and put it in his personal mailbox.
4. Sit in the Grand Traveling Sleigh – Sit in the Sleigh that Santa uses to make his remarkable journey around the World.
5. Hear a Story from an Elf – Visit Story Time Theater for a story read by an Elf.
6. Wander through the Magic Forest – Hand feed South American Reindeer, and hop on over to his Postmen with built in pouches.
7. Observe Santa’s Kittens and Candy Cane Makers – Admire the strength and skill of Santa’s Kittens and Candy Cane Makers as they prepare to accompany Santa and his Reindeer Team.
8. Embark on a Magical Journey – Take in the magnificent sights and sounds of this unique Holiday Festival.
9. Festive Face Painting – Face Painting is available from noon to 2 p.m. everyday!
10. Picture Yourself with Santa – Capture the joy of the Holiday Season by purchasing a photo with the Big Man Himself, Santa Claus.
