June 5
SUSPICIOUS: An officer responded to the intersection of Highlands Drive Northeast and Interstate Highway 90, where a man had been reported lying face down on the nearby trail. The officer located the man, who was covered in bubble wrap and sleeping on cardboard. The man moved along.
PROWL: A pocketbook was reported stolen from a Honda CRV parked on the 2200 block of Northwest Sammamish Road, at a total value of $80.
DOMESTIC: A 39-year-old Issaquah man was arrested for domestic violence assault in the fourth degree on the 200 block of Newport Way Northwest.
CHECKMATE: An officer responded to the skate park on the 300 block of Rainier Boulevard South regarding a report of minors drinking alcohol and throwing bottles. The officer found a group in the parking lot playing chess, with no sign of alcohol or bottles.
June 6
RACKET: Responding to a noise complaint at the intersection of Highlands Drive Northeast and Southeast Black Nugget Road, an officer discovered a construction crew using a jackhammer. The company did not have a permit to work the site on a Saturday, as required by the municipal code. A representative told the officer the crew would stop working.
SEX OFFENSE: Police responded to a report of a sexual offense on the 1800 block of 15th Place Northwest. A 75-year-old man was arrested for assault in the fourth degree.
THEFT: A minor was arrested for shoplifting on the 1400 block of Highlands Drive Northeast. The officer forwarded the case to the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office.
DUI: An officer arrested a 33-year-old North Bend man on the 1700 block of Northeast Park Drive for driving under the influence.
June 7
NOT DRUNK JUST GAUCHE: An officer responded to a report of a vehicle, possibly driven under the influence, that had struck the library on West Sunset Way. The officer found none of the three subjects inside to be impaired and no accident. The vehicle had been pulled close to the building to pick up the library’s Wi-Fi.
SMASH: A window was reported damaged on a Subaru in a malicious mischief and possible vehicle prowl case on the 5700 block of Northwest Lac Leman Drive.
QUACK: A caller reported concern for a mother duck and ducklings wandering near the 900 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard. An officer directed the ducks to a marsh on the north side of the parking lot.
GRAVEYARD: An officer responded to the cemetery on the 300 block of West Sunset Way to free a woman who had been locked inside after the 8 p.m. closing time.
June 8
GREEN GOBLINS: A subject was seen wiping his boogers on a window divider on the 100 block of East Sunset Way.
BRING DOWN THIS WALL: A wall on the 3400 block of Northeast Harrison Drive was reported to be maliciously damaged at a total loss of $3,000.
THREATS: A 51-year-old Issaquah man was arrested on the 700 block of Northeast Blakely Drive for making threats.
June 9
SUSPENDED: An officer arrested a 24-year-old Renton man at the intersection of Front Street North and East Sunset Way for driving while license suspended in the third degree.
JAILHOUSE ROCK: Officers arrested a 23-year-old Bothell man for disorderly conduct in the jail.
THEFT: About $1,350 in cash was reported stolen from a building on the 500 block of Mt. Index Place Southwest.
HEY LISTEN: An officer located several juveniles in a parking lot on the 1400 block of Highlands Drive Northeast. One had a megaphone, which he was using to communicate with people as they drove and walked past. They agreed to stop.
June 10
BURGLARY: A wallet and its contents were reported stolen from a residence on the 200 block of Northwest Holly Street at a total loss of $145.
GTA: A 1993 Ford Ranger was reported stolen from the 700 block of Fifth Avenue Northwest at a loss of $5,000.
June 11
JETTASONED: A Volkswagen Jetta was reported stolen from the 500 block of Southeast Andrews Street at a loss of $3,000.
HAPPY RETURNS: Police returned a purse to a Newcastle woman whom had left it at a trailhead on the 27000 block of Southeast 79th Street.
ASSAULT: Police arrested a 64-year-old Issaquah man on the 900 block of Discovery Circle Northeast for assault in the fourth degree.
