The blotter consists of Sammamish police officers’ accounts of crimes and other incidents in the city. Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Dec. 19

LASER LIGHT DISPLAY STOLEN: At 3:30 p.m., a resident at the 4200 block of 255 Place SE reported their Christmas laser light projector was taken from their front yard. Surveillance video showed the event take place.

Dec. 20

DUI WARRANT: At 3:43 p.m., police arrested a man at the 3800 block of 260 Ave. SE for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant out of Issaquah for a DUI. The man was booked into Issaquah Jail.

IDENTITY THEFT: At 4:26 p.m., police received a report that a resident at the 20300 block of NE 40 Ct. received a phone call as well as a letter from a bank stating an unknown subject attempted to open a credit card as well as a Discover card using her personal information. She experienced no monetary loss and believed a security breach from her government employer may have included her personal information being distributed.

Dec. 23

CAR PROWL: At 2:15 p.m., a car prowl was reported at Beaver Lake Park, located at the 2500 block of 244 Ave. SE. The left rear window was smashed, though no loss was noted.

Dec. 24

UNWELCOME VISITOR: At 1:53 a.m., a dog-sitter at the 22800 block of NE 26 St. reported an unknown person used a key to enter the house they were watching, taking money and moving things around.

Dec. 25

DOMESTIC ASSAULT: At 6:35 p.m., a female resident at the 4200 block of 258 Ave. SE reported several incidents of domestic assault from her boyfriend over several months from July through September.

Dec. 26

THAT’S NOT CHOCOLATE: At 12:24 p.m., a resident at the 22300 block of NE 6 Ct. reported finding a small Snickers tin and velvet bag in their backyard containing pills and needles.

ROCKED WINDOW, PT. 1: At 1:45 p.m., a resident at the 23300 block of NE 22 St. reported an unknown subject threw a rock through the front window of their house.

CAR PROWL: At 1:47 p.m., a vehicle’s front passenger window was reported smashed at Sammamish Landing Park, located at the 4600 block of E. Lake Sammamish Parkway NE. A bag stolen from the vehicle was later found a few blocks down the road along with other possibly stolen items.

VEHICLE RECOVERED: At 1:54 p.m., a vehicle reported stolen out of Auburn was found unoccupied at the 1900 block of 224 Place NE.

CAR PROWL: At 3:19 p.m., a vehicle was broken into at Beaver Lake Park at the 2600 block of 244 Ave. SE. A small, white Coach wallet was taken from the front passenger seat.

Dec. 27

IDENTITY THEFT: At 8:57 a.m., a resident at the 3800 block of E. Lake Sammamish Parkway NE reported an unauthorized purchase of a computer and software to their Bank of America account via Costco.com.

BROKEN WINDOW, NO GLASS: At 9:50 a.m., a broken window was reported at Eastlake High School, located at 400 228 Ave. NE. There was a 6-inch circular hole in the middle of the window, yet no glass on either side.

ROLLED VEHICLE: At 10:22 p.m., a driver rolled her vehicle over at the 3500 block of Sahalee Way. The driver posted a BAC level of .116 and was arrested for DUI.

Dec. 28

ROCKED WINDOW, PT. 2: At 8:05 p.m., a resident at the 23400 block of NE 22 St. reported a rock was thrown through their upstairs window.

Dec. 29

SMASHED CAR WINDOWS: At 8:32 a.m., two windows of a vehicle were reported broken at the 600 block of 216 Ave. NE. No entry was made into the vehicle. At 11:47 a.m., police received another report of vehicle vandalism, with a driver-side window reported broken at the 1900 block of 224 Place NE.

Dec. 30

CAR VANDALIZED: At 3:57 p.m., a car owner reported their vehicle had been vandalized at the 23400 block of NE 27 St. while they were away on vacation.

CREDIT THEFT: At 5:16 p.m., a mail theft was reported at the 400 block of 205 Ave. NE. A Sears credit card was reportedly stolen Dec. 21 and the card was used Dec. 22 at a Target in Everett.

Jan. 1

STOLEN GUN: At 3:12 p.m., a resident reported a firearm was missing from their home at the 5200 block of 190 Place NE.
