Sammamish residents turned out in droves to ring in the holiday season at the city’s Very Merry Sammamish event Friday at the Sammamish Commons Plaza.
The event featured the lighting of the city’s holiday tree. Residents were able to visit a petting zoo, stop by a face-painting station and enjoy live entertainment from local choirs and the Eastlake School Orchestra.
Mayor Don Gerend and other city officials were on hand, as were special guests Santa and Disney princesses Cinderella, Elsa and Anna.
