The blotter consists of Sammamish police officers’ accounts of crimes and other incidents in the city. Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
March 11
ROAD RAGE: At 4:42 p.m., police responded to a reported road rage incident at the 900 block of 228 Ave. SE. Shortly after exiting the south driveway at Sammamish City Hall, an Asian male driver reported a black SUV began tailgating him on 228th Avenue Southeast. The SUV then reportedly swerved into the left lane, passing the male’s vehicle, then swerved back into the right lane and slammed on the brakes, stopping in the road and blocking traffic. An older, white male driver reportedly exited the SUV and approached the victim’s vehicle, shouting threatening statements and racial insults. The man reportedly got back into the SUV after other drivers shouted for him to stop blocking traffic.

TRESPASS: At 4:32 p.m., a male subject was trespassed from the McDonald’s located at 615 228 Ave. SE. The man had reportedly been inside the men’s room for an extended period of time and a customer informed the manager that the man was possibly using heroin in a stall.
March 16
DRUG OVERDOSE: At 3:15 p.m., police responded to a reported heroin overdose at the 24900 block of NE 1st Place. A male subject was found by his parents gasping for breath on the bathroom floor. The man was transported to Evergreen Hospital.
March 17
CHILD LURING: At 7:36 a.m., police responded to a reported child luring attempt at the corner of 239th Way Southeast and Southeast 4th Street. A man reportedly approached a 12-year-old girl and her friend and attempted to have them go to his car to “get some Girl Scout cookies.” The girl and her friend ignored the man and continued to her house.
March 18
ASSAULT: At 5:08 p.m., police responded to a report of domestic violence between a married couple at the 3600 block of 223rd Ave. SE. The responding officers located a female subject and her two children at the nearby intersection of Southeast 38th Street and 222nd Avenue Southeast. The woman appeared to have a small bruise and an abrasion over her left eye, though she denied any physical altercation had taken place and denied being injured. Police were unable to contact her husband.
March 24
AUTO THEFT: At 10:02 a.m., a vehicle was reported stolen from a parking lot at the Highland Gardens Apartments, located at the 4500 block of Klahanie Dr. SE. The vehicle was reportedly locked and believed to be stolen sometime after 11 p.m. the prior evening.
