Sammamish 2017 Comprehensive Plan docket now open

Citizens interested in proposing policy amendments or land use map amendments to the city of Sammamish’s Comprehensive Plan may now do so through the city of Sammamish website.

The Comprehensive Plan is the city’s document that provides a vision for the future, identifies goals and policies to achieve that vision, creates a basis for the city’s regulations and guides future decision-making.

State law authorizes the city to allow the public, including citizens and government agencies, to submit updates, amendments or other revisions to the Comprehensive Plan and associated zoning regulations once per year. Review of docket materials by the Planning Commission and City Council will take place during the fall.

Application forms are available online at www.sammamish.us. Application materials for the 2017 docket must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Sept. 30. The materials may be accepted at Sammamish City Hall or via email at permittech@sammamish.us.
